Hello, I am Vicky Van Dan-Pletsch, a children’s author.
I am a retired music educator who taught band, chorus, and general music for over 37 years. In 2017, I had retired from public education, but currently still teach private music lessons in my home music studio.
I play clarinet in the Bloomington-Normal Community Concert Band, am a member of the Clarinet Choir, play trumpet for military funerals in the American Legion, and is a church organist and pianist for church.
My hobbies include performing and teaching music, baking, cooking, crafting, landscaping, walking, writing, reading books, collecting Green Bay Packer paraphernalia, being with my family, and eating chocolate, especially dark chocolate. In 2022, I had earned my second degree black belt in Taekwondo.
I have been married to my husband Dan, for over 40 years. We have two sons, two daughters-in-laws, and two beautiful granddaughters!
